This week, we're excited to highlight a groundbreaking initiative that brings Gnosis Chain to the forefront of blockchain adoption in Africa. In a collaborative effort, Circles, Gnosis Chain, and Dappnode have launched the first Circles Node Campaign aimed at empowering a blockchain club in Ghana.
Circles is a social money that empowers communities by fostering stronger connections and enabling local, circular economies to thrive. By allowing each individual to issue their own unique money, Circles ensures that everyone has access to a basic income, which can be used to support local businesses and community initiatives.
The campaign, announced on August 19, 2024, will provide a local blockchain club in Ghana with a free Dappnode, enabling them to run four Gnosis Chain validators. This initiative represents a significant step towards decentralization in the region, allowing Ghanaian blockchain enthusiasts to actively participate in the Gnosis Chain ecosystem.
By equipping the selected club with the necessary hardware and knowledge, this project aims to:
- Pioneer blockchain validation for Gnosis Chain in Ghana.
- Position local participants as key contributors to decentralization efforts.
- Lay the groundwork for empowering communities with decentralized economic systems.
- Ensure Ghana's active involvement in the global blockchain conversation.
This collaboration between Circles, Gnosis Chain, and Dappnode exemplifies our commitment to fostering a truly global and diverse blockchain community. It's not just about running nodes; it's about creating opportunities for innovation, education, and economic empowerment through blockchain technology.

The Uniswap Onboarding Package for Gnosis Chain has been approved with overwhelming support, receiving a staggering 99.4% approval rate!
Gnosis is focused on revolutionizing traditional payments infrastructure with Gnosis Chain to make decentralized financial tools accessible and usable for all. Uniswap on Gnosis Chain will pave the way for deeper liquidity and a more robust DeFi infrastructure.
karpatkey, the team providing asset management, financial services, and non-custodial risk management infrastructure for the GnosisDAO, authored the proposal with PGov, a team dedicated to improving DeFi governance.
