🏦 Maker Votes to Integrate Gnosis Chain on Spark Protocol

Last week we reported on Maker's poll to activate a Gnosis Chain instance of Spark Lend on the Spark Protocol, a lending marketplace inspired by Aave v3. The karpatkey team authored the proposal. The instance allows Spark to kick-off its multi-chain deployment strategy with Gnosis, a long-time strategic partner of Maker. This collaboration also drives Gnosis Chain’s success with DAI at the centre of its ecosystem. The proposal has passed with 100% voting, Yes! Watch out for a live demo of Spark in the coming weeks along with additional resources being published soon.

Bored Ghosts Developing, a web3 development initiative contributing to Aave released a report about Gnosis Chain regarding its suitability to deploy an instance of the Aave protocol. The team consists of key contributors responsible for the growth of the Aave ecosystem. The team awarded Gnosis Chain the 'Optimal' stamp of approval, their highest designation.

🌉 Hashi's Additive Layer of Security

Lead core dev, Dapplion delivered a talk at Dappcon 2023 about research regarding how Gnosis Chain can run as a Layer 2 in the event that the base layer (Layer 1) goes down. It's all part of Hashi's larger vision for Gnosis Chain as the most secure bridge to Ethereum. Hashi is an EVM Hash Oracle Aggregator, designed to facilitate a principled approach to cross-chain bridge security.

AI Agents on Gnosis Chain

Autonolas reported that more than half of all Safe transactions on Gnosis Chain were generated by AI agents. Their Prediction Markets Hackathon, in collaboration with Gnosis Chain, wraps up this month and likely accounts for the activity from AI agents.

AI agents won't be using EOAs, they will require the programability and safeguards enabled by smart accounts.

🦾 Prediction Agents Hackathon

The Prediction Agents Hackathon is wrapping up. Gnosis Chain is perfectly suited to hosting decentralized autonomous agents, due to its fast and cheap transactions and presence of an established prediction market: Omen.

The Autonolas stack allows developers to quickly iterate on existing agent templates, pushing the boundary of the possible. For the hackathon, developers have been tasked with having their agents participate in real long-tail prediction markets. There's still time to participate in the hackathon but the clock is ticking!
