Slowly But Surely, and Then All At Once
Gnosis Chain has a strong commitment to censorship resistance. It's foundational to the design of the network and what keeps its credibly neutral. We also believe that the point of having Ethereum is to simply allow people to execute transactions. Everyday transactions onchain like paying for coffee. That's why we launched Gnosis Pay, the worlds first Decentralized Payment Network (DPN), removing the barriers between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi). Gnosis Pay utilizes the resilience of Gnosis Chain and it's cheap transaction costs to deliver a payment network that gives users full custody of their funds with Visa compatibility.

📢 Dencun Update Scheduled for Chiado
On the 31st of January 2024 at approximately 18:15:40 UTC, Epoch: 516608, Gnosis Chain's testnet, Chiado will implement the Dencun upgrade. The Gnosis Beacon Chain allows us to maintain parity with the Ethereum roadmap and future EIPs. Following Chiado, Dencun will be implemented on Gnosis Chain. The upgrade includes several changes, most notably the introduction of ephemeral data blobs with EIP-4844, also known as "protodanksharding", which will help reduce L2 transaction fees. For Gnosis Chain, the upgrade reduces transaction fees even further, below <$0.01 making it ideal for payments.
